I've been a builder/remodeler all of my life on the side. My first major project was a cabin in Ruidoso, NM, while teaching Building Trades for Levelland ISD and Sundown ISD (among other subjects.) After teaching in Sundown, TX for most of our teaching careers, we moved to Lake Brownwood to enjoy a central location between all of our 4 kids and their families. We bought a "fixer" and spent about about 12 months making it what we wanted it to be. It's been a lot of fun getting to do some of the projects I'd always wanted to do but didn't have the time or space. We've added something every season it seems, and we just keep having fun with it. Our kids call the place The Resort since there's room for all of them. Now if we could only get them all here at the same time!
